Going to Revolve

Today we are going to Revolve in Oklahoma City with the girls youth group. It should be fun. I am excited about going. The only sad thing is that Nicole and Melanie are not going. Nicole has a basketball game and Melanie is going to Silver Ball at her school. We tried to talk them into going but it did not work. I still do not know who I am riding with or who I am rooming with. It should be interesting to find out how many girls are going.

I am really looking forward to hearing Chad Eastham speak. I bought one of his books with my birthday money. It is really good. It is called "Guys like Girls Who...". In it he talks about why guys like girls and that guys like girls who are themselves.
I am also really excited about seeing Hawk Nelson in concert! That will be awesome! Also Group 1 Crew, Krystal Meyers, and Natalie Grant are doing concerts.166 Some of the other speakers are Jenna Lucado (Max Lucado's daughter) and Danielle Kimmy (whom I have never heard of). I am so glad I get to go because I did not think I would be able to go becauase of money problems. But I talked to Robbie about it and there was a scholership available. I was happy about that. :) So now we just have to go meet everyone at church.

If People Lived In Outer Space

In order for us to live in space there would have to be a lot of new technology invented. People would have to invent cars and other space vehicles to get around in. While we do have some vehicles that will run in space, we would have to invent new ones because the ones we have now run on gas. They would probably have to run on solar energy. Some high tech fashion designer would have to invent clothes that could withstand extreme temperature conditions, and still look good. Someone would have to figure out how to get real food up into space, otherwise we would all be eating the freeze dried kind. Just imagine trying to eat a freeze dried ham or turkey for Thanksgiving! I think we would have a lot less holidays if the food wasn't as good. If the technology was invented it would be pretty awesome. If everything that we needed to live in space was invented then I think that there would still be some problems.

If everyone lived in outer space our lives would be somewhat harder. We wouldn't be able to play outside in the sunshine any more. We couldn't walk down to the grocery store or to school. We would have to drive in special vehicles and put on space suits to go anywhere. If people think we have a problem as a society exercising now, just imagine what it would be like if we lived in space!
Of course if the food was not as good then I guess people would not eat as much.

I do not think that we would be able to take our pets up there, at least not the ones who get scared easily. We would not be able to haul all the animals up there, so some people would have to stay on earth in order to take care of them. Also someone would have to stay down there to send fresh resources up every once in a while.

But aside from all this I think the houses and buildings would be cool. They would probably have a computer of some sort running them, which mean that we would probably have robots too. We wouldn't have to do chores any more. The robots would be able to wash our clothes, clean the dishes, make our beds, and clean the bathroom. A lot of things in the houses would be voice activated, like if you wanted to hear a particular song all you would have to do is tell the computer and suddenly you would be listening to it. And if you wanted the lights on or off all you would have to do is say so. I think it would be kind of cool if we lived in outer space, but I think that I like living on the earth just fine.

Funeral

We went to my grandpa's funeral last week. It was nice for a funeral. There were a lot of people there that love my family. And of course my family cried but I think everyone is ok. My grandma is handling it pretty well. I think she handled it better than some of my aunts. We went down there the day of the viewing and got there in time to eat and then go to the viewing. The next day was the graveside and then the memorial. We had the graveside first because my grandpa didn't really want a service, so we buried him first. My mom said (jokingly) that he wasn't invited to his own funeral. Which isn't exactly the case but it is kind of true. I think it's kind of funny. We all know that now he is in heaven with Jesus and that he is a whole lot happier there then he was here.

To Auntie:
This is my 50 word one for last week if that's ok.

Going to the funeral

We are going down to the Dallas/Fort Worth area today. My grandpa's funeral is on Thursday and the viewing is tomorrow. So we'll go down this afternoon and come back late Thursday after the funeral. We have to come back so soon because of basketball. We have a tournament in Claude this weekend. I am going to miss the game on Thursday (which stinks since we are playing Claude) but will be back in time for the game on Friday. Please pray that we have a safe trip and that Courtney doesn't get too lonesome by herself.
