What is a good neighbor? Jesus said that everyone is our neighbor. So what I think a good neighbor is someone who helps you when you need it. Like when you are stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and someone pulls over and helps you change it. Or when your car battery dies and someone helps you jump start your car. Little things like that.
A good neighbor is someone who will bring you cookies if you live next door. They will watch your house for you and water your lawn when you are out of town. They will feed and water your pets for you when you are gone.
A good neighbor is someone who cares for your interests in general. Like the good Samaritain who helped the Jew, even though nobody expected him too. Jesus says to love everyone. So maybe being a good neighbor is just looking out for other people when it is not expected of you and doing your best to show God's love to them. To show others that there is a reason they are here and that there is someone who cares about them. I think that is what being a good neighbor is about.
